Jane is asked by someone she met once-Dr. Ewing-someone who had come to authenticate the treasure that was found in her backyard. His wife had asked him if he knew of anyone who did housecleaning. He remembered Jane--His wife called her and Jane agreed to help clean before a lot of people were coming over.
Mrs. Ewing had a medical appointment which her son would drive her to on the day Jane was going to clean. She was told to just walk in. All went fine until she opened Dr. Ewing's office door. He was lying on the floor--dead! She immediately called the police. Unfortunately the officer who came was new to the area and immediately kind of assumed that Jane had murdered this man. She hadn'y and in order to save her businesses reputation decided to try to find out what really happened.
Meanwhile an old friend, Mike, who happened to work in the police dept asked her out on a date--a dance. They has a great time. Mike knew there was something wrong and offered to try to help Jane. She declined--at first.
When returning to the house to complete the cleaning-----Jane figured out what actually happened--and who did it and why!!
