My Absolute favorite of all Dianne Harman's books I have read--and I think I have read all if not most of them--is the Coyote Series. I somehow missed reading this one which follows that series. This series has some of the same charactors.
Try and imagine what it would be like to see black dots on peoples heads moments brfore they died! Not the most pleasant way to live life--but Darya has this ability. It sometimes gets her in trouble. Slade is her bodyguard and this time she tells him she does not want him along. Bad move!!
Some really nasty people want the ingredients to her product--and set her up so they can get it. Do they?
This is a short novel with an ending that will make you want to keep reading this series. And don't forget to read the Coyote Series (3 Books). I still remember it to this day--and I think I read it back in 2018!!
