Book Review-Queen of Hearts at Oakly Ranch-James Moushon

Wednesday, August 16, 2023

Active seniors are generally a fun group--who love activites and parties. Some of them are also into taking chances to win prizes or money. The weekly Queen of Hearts game now is worth a lot of money--people from all over came to join in on the off chance they might win big. There was finally a winner!

Now not all seniors are on the up and up as you will read! When the master of ceremonies was shot as he spoke at the podium the Detectives set about trying to figure out who done it---

It took Jethro (Ruth Sandberg's dog) to find the smoking gun. Was it one of the seniors or someone else?

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Welcome to Oakley Ranch: An Active Adult Community just outside of Phoenix, Arizona. July 4th is a great time at Oakley Ranch. Military ceremonies. Lots of Fireworks and a Big Light Show.

This weekend is special. The weekly Queen of Hearts game held for the residents has exploded in value. People from all over are joining in on the gamble.

And we have a winner. Lots of money.

As the fourth of July activities start, the opening ceremony is interrupted by a shot, and then another shot. The main speaker has been killed right in front of everyone.

Detective Ferguson and Officer Rizzo are at Oakley Ranch again trying to solve the problem. Not only is the Queen of Hearts money a good motive but jealousy can play a part.

Sarah Sandberg and her neighbor, Mary, find themselves right in the middle of things again.

Then Sarah’s dog, Jethro, finds the smoking gun which is the missing link in solving the murder.
