About the Book: (from Amazon)
Just the thought of a cave is scary. You know, one with utter blackness and full of bats. But what about a dead body? Now, that’s really scary!
When Della attends a dinner party given by the new owners of a cave in the scenic Ozark Mountains, she’s really looking forward to seeing the cave, one that she and her deceased husband visited many years ago.
Unfortunately when the dinner group is given a tour of the cave, they find a dead body. Who is he? How did he get there? It’s been almost ten years since the cave was sealed off to questionable visitors who used it for illegal purposes. Did the man’s death have something to do with the illegal activities that took place in the cave years ago? Did he die of natural causes, or from an accident, or was he murdered?
Driven by curiosity, and in an attempt to learn more about the man who died in the cave, Della talks to a convict, the woman the dead man loved, and a heartbroken sister still grieving over his disappearance.
Sheriff Metcalf pleads with Della to leave the sleuthing to him, but she’s driven to find out the truth about the man’s strange death and disappearance. Seems that the sheriff has a more personal interest in Della, and that’s why he doesn’t want her involved in the investigation. She might be the next victim!

No, I've never been in a cave but I've seen some videos of people crawling into tight caves and I don't know how they do it! I'd be panicking
Yes, I have been in several caves.
I went to a cave in Texas once. It was pretty cold and low lit. My kids admonished me because I forgot the tour guide said to not touch the wall but I did once to help with my balance in an area.

My family and I did a tour of Lincoln Caverns in Pa last year. It was a guided tour so not scared at all. Pretty cool actually
