I have always loved reading about the Greek and Roman mythical Gods--they really could get up to all kinds of mischief. Granted the authors usually made some of it up and nobody really knows if they were real or not. Very rarely do you get to read about the Nordic Gods. Rachelle Ayala has spun a tale around them which really had me going. Somehow they even made it into modern times.
Ruby Rush a modern girl's face was horribly disfigured from a propane tank attached to a grill exploded in her face. Half of her face was still as beautiful as ever--the other she hid with a mask. She tried every magic potion etc to try to regain her beauty. One of her friends handed her a mirror--she looks into it and sees a man? He is trying to save the ancient world--she just wants her beauty back--or is that what they really want?
What goes on is obviously fantasy and a whole lot goes on before the happy ending.
