Although in some ways this was hard for me to read I actually enjoyed it even though I generally do not read books like this. When a high society girl's father is beat up then taken to court for various misdeeds she is forced into making a very hard decision in order to save her family home and take care of her father.
She is sold to the highest bidder in a private auction for one month-Gabriel Miller has her exactly where he wants her. He lets her go after just a few days but what she finds is heart breaking--
This ends in a cliff hanger that makes you want to know more!
