I loved that charactors from two different series were in on the book. These people all do something similar so it really made sense. None of them had their dogs with them-but Daisy stole the show and did what no one else could do--she found the missing woman!
Al DuDuco's softer side shows through--not surprising since his wife is pregnant! Al is a nervous wreck!
I really think you will enjoy this one with two mysteries and 4 of the great characters. The recipes in the back will make your mouth water-so beware!!
About the Book: (fom Amazon)
An old lover, technology knockoffs, a missing self-defense instructor, and a dead convention exhibitor. They must have something in common, but what?
When DeeDee, Jake, Al, and Cassie, from the Northwest Cozy Mystery Series, meet up with Brigid and Sheriff Davis, from the Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery Series, at a law enforcement convention in Denver, it’s almost a given there will be a mystery to solve. Or maybe two. So much for getaway vacations.
So just what happened to Marie, a self-defense expert who specializes in instructing women on how to protect themselves? Now she’s missing. And it would be nice to know what happened to Max, the man at the convention with the latest developments in law enforcement technology. Too bad he’s dead, but some people think he deserved it.
The characters from two cozy mystery series work together to find the answers, but sometimes a dog’s senses are a little more fine-tuned when it comes to solving mysteries. Camilla the coonhound’s certainly were! New friends, more mysteries, and a budding romance. Vacations are always interesting, but sometimes they certainly don’t go as planned!
This is the 18th book in the Northwest Cozy Mystery Series by a USA Today Bestselling Author.

Dianne is a new to me author but Confusion at the Convention sounds like a great cozy mystery for me and I like the cover! Thanks for brining her books to my attention and have a spectacular holiday season!
I haven't read any of her books yet. They say dogs have strong sense of smell. So yes they are better.
Dogs can definitely smell a trail better than humans can.
Yes I believe dogs can better follow a trail than humans.
CottonWood Springs series is my absolute favourite... great cozy mysteries in that series.. dogs are much better at tracking people or things ( drugs etc) than people are any day of the week.
I'd love to read this book. I think dogs will do a better job than humans.
