Hiding under a blanket is what I really want to be doing for the rest of this week. The weather is topsy turvy and my ankles and feet are swollen again. Luckily I can still get my sandals on because I have two doctor appts. I have never been to either of these doctors before.
People with diabetes are supposed to have a podiatrist--uh somehow I have never been to one--tomorrow is a first which also means I will have to fill out all kinds of forms and explain that I was adopted so have no idea what my family history is. Then that doctor is going to see all the swelling------hopefully he will ignore it and just tell my primary about it.
Right after that appointment I have to see my Mom--her air conditioner is not working. She did call someone to get it fixed or bring her a new one--she is 98!! I told her to put the ceiling fan on in her bedroom and to turn the kitchen fan so it blows in and not out. She spends most of her time in the living room--maybe if she opens the windows a bit she will get a breeze?
On Friday I have an appointment with a neurologist. More forms to fill out probably--maybe she can tell me why I keep swelling and why I shake on occasion. I hope so. I'll probably go food shopping on Thursday if it isn't raining too hard.
All that and with any kind of luck keeping up with the FB groups I am in.
Life goes on--but as the song goes-"What a drag it is getting old".
