Back when grocery stores still put our purchases in plastic bags a lot of us all had a LOT of them stored. We used them for garbage and lots of other purposes. Those bags were REUSED-at least once if not more times. Then they stopped allowing THOSE plastic bags ro be given to us. This was supposed to help keep plastic out of the environment.
So how come am I now having to buy plastic bags. Just the other day I ordered two types--one which is stronger to throw out the cat's used litter and a draw string bag for regular garbage? I purchased Hefty Small Garbage Bags, Flap Tie, Lavender & Sweet Vanilla Scent, 4 Gallon, 26 Count for the cat litter. Our garbage goes down a shoot--so I double bag this. I bought 2 of these. Used cat litter is really heavy!
For regular garbage and sometimes for use as a double bagging I bought Glad Small Drawstring Trash Bags with Clorox, 4 Gallon Grey Trash Bags, Lemon Fresh Bleach Scent, 80 Count. I have to admit the drawstring does make it easier to carry.
Then while I was at it I figured I might as well get freezer bags I gave one of the boxes to my Mom and one of the boxes will go to a friend--I really did not need 4 boxes!!
Why am I getting the feeling that there is more plastic around now then there used to be? What do you think?
