There are just some people that just plain don't care about anyone but themselves. Micah was one such person. In order to get to the top he stepped on many feet and hurt many people.

Everyone was having a lovely day at the carnival that Missy, the preachers wife and Holly had put together. The entire town got involved and people from all over came. A lot of them came because they knew Micah, who would have his first TV show would be there. Four of them had been horribly hurt by him and really wanted to get back at him. But only one of them would end up murdering him.

Brigid and Linc were heading home when they spotted the body--the Sheriff wasn't far behind. Brigid and the Sheriff started immediately to try and find the murderer. But it took Jett, Brigid's large Newfoundland dog to ultimately tree the perpetrator!!

It was kind of hard for me to feel sorry for the murdered man--but justice has to be served one way or another! The chili recipe that Linc made to sell at the carnival sounds delicious--the recipe is at the end--even I may attempt to make this one!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

There’s so much to see and do at a carnival! There’s the smell of carnival treats like funnel cakes and cotton candy. Games that give you a chance to dunk the sheriff or win a stuffed teddy bear. Don’t forget the Ferris wheel ride. And yes, there’s that unpleasant business about the murdered man lying on the ground in the parking lot.

When Linc and Brigid agree to host a chili booth at the Summer Carnival, they never thought the day would end in discovering one of their B & B guests, the popular host of the online travel show, “Take Five,” murdered in the parking lot.

But was Micha really all that popular? Someone, actually a lot of people, certainly didn’t think so, and it’s up to Brigid and Sheriff Davis to figure out which one them hated Micha enough to kill him.

And it never hurts to have a huge Newfoundland dog help you track down a murderer, particularly when they can’t be found!

Yes. I visited many carnivals years ago when I was young and when my children were young. My favorite thing, besides the food, was to watch this extremely talented gentleman who carved wildlife statues out of logs. With a chainsaw!

I love the carnival/ county fair. My favorite thing I have done there was trying out the mechanical bull! It was so much fun, and almost worth it because I was sore for days afterwards. I don't think I would really "get revenge", but I would give that person a piece of my mind.

Susan Christy said...

We always go to the carnival at the county fair. In my teens, my boyfriend won me all kinds of stuffed animals and trinkets from carnival games. Good memories! I'd like to get revenge on a couple of people that have done me wrong, but I won't.
