As busy as Holly is between school, working at her job as manager at the bookstore and tutoring the last thing she needed was to run to be President of her Junior High Class! Somehow her friends roped her into it. Her friend made up an amazing flyer which her boyfriend and other friend said they would put up everywhere. She still wasn't totally convinced--then Brigid got into the act and those flyers were copied in a flash and a round sticker made to which Bridgit added her picture. Before she knew what was happening she was in the teacher's office that was taking care of it all and telling him she was going to run.
Meanwhile at the bookstore they had to take inventory--Holly was definitely starting to become overwhelmed! Then---someone was tearing down all the posters and writing not so nice things about her. To make matters worse her little dog had to be rushed to the vet!
But who would want to hurt Holly? She had no idea. Ultimately she decided to figure it out herself--which she did. It made my heart happy to hear what she said in her speech. Then once the culprit was found--well Holly realized why the person had done it--but not before she called the person out in front of the entire class.
Was Holly elected? Did all turn out like it should? I'll let you decide when you read this excellent novel!
About the Book: (from Amazon)
Election materials destroyed. Graffiti and personal slurs posted. Lockers vandalized. A presidential campaign speech stolen. Somebody definitely doesn’t want Holly to be elected!
Holly decides to run for Junior Class President to do something positive for her fellow students. What she hadn’t planned on was having someone hate her so much that they’d destroy everything she was trying to do.
Throw in an emergency trip to the vet when her dog, Lucky, is poisoned and a massive foul-up at work which she’d caused. Definitely not a good week for Holly.
When it’s clear the principal has too much on his plate to find out who did it, Holly has no choice but to take on the job. Fortunately, she has a little experience in solving mysteries.
There are plenty of twists and turns in this page-turning modern-day Nancy Drew style of cozy mystery. Whether you’re young, or young-at-heart, this book will leave you with a tear on your cheek and a smile on your face.

I have been bullied so I do understand. I would use social media in this case since it is the primary way in which your voice may be heard.
I do not enjoy listening to the bullying online.
I am fortunate to say that I was never bullied or I never bullied anyone else.
The best way to stop an online bully is to find another website or simply ignore the bully. Thanks for the giveaway!
No I try to take politics with a grain of salt. It seems like no one can be kind anymore. It's dog eat dog!
Truthful, I don't know what to do about a bully other than punch them out...
This year I have no plans for Halloween or Thanksgiving, I am waiting to see about Christmas
I was bullied so I understand how difficult it can be. I'm not sure how to stop bullies, especially online. Blocking the individual might help.
I just listen to the facts and not pay attention to the nonsense
I do not like to see bullying of any kind, anywhere.

I get frustrated listening to the politicians and don't approve of their tactics, half-truths, or blatant and lies. I don't know how to stop a bully other than trying to avoid them and act like you're not bothered by them, which obviously doesn't work or it would o longer be happening.
I hate bullies and the people that follow them. A couple that I went to school with daughter killed herself because she was bullied in school.
I only listen to the news , when they redo the best parts of the politicians talks. Bullies have a group backing them, that's why it's so hard to get them to stop. The good guy always seem to lose. Even when the bully is lying they seem to win. I try to stay away from them.
I love the cover! The colors and graphics are great.
You stop bullying with the truth and by standing up for your beliefs and yourself.
I have learned over the years to take what politicians say very carefully and only believe 1/2 of what they say...with some not even that.. As far as a bully is concerned I would block them from all my social media and if they still persisted I would go to the relevant authority to see what can be done...
I listen and it usually disgusts me.
I am not quite sure how to defeat a bully, but I would start by blocking them whenever I could. Maybe changing to another website would help. I don’t pay attention to them, it is not worth it.
I don't listen to the politicians because I can't believe what they are saying.
I think many of the politicians bully and name-call, and it's not what politics is all about. It's gotten petty and there's so much lying and corruption, I hate it.
Politics is a mess right now. I turned in my ballot today so I don't have to listen any more ( not that I did before).
Thanks for the contest.
I listen to politicians and the adult bullying is kind of riduculous.
Politics have sunk to a new low lately. I hope things get better soon.
Lots of lies they put out. I tend to only take notice when I need to, not that the whole thing matters that much in the end anyway. Already been a wild and weird year!
I am trying to stay informed on what is going on.
It does get difficult because there is too much bullying going on.
Politics is now a dirtier game that it ever was. These days, I just don't know what to think anymore.
sometimes listen
I hope to help stop bullying by standing up to bullies. Bullying is never okay.
I do not approve of bullying from politicians or anyone else. I think that standing up to a bully is best defense.
I hate bullying, from politicians or anyone. I was bullied every day from kindergarten through 12th grade-nothing I or anyone else did, stopped it. I have no clue how to stop a bully.
I listen to them, but don't always necessarily believe all they say.
I don't trust in politicians one bit. I don't listen to them. I prefer to keep stress free. I hate bullying, and I will do anything to try to stop it before it escalates.
As far as politicians go I don't listen to what they say. I look at their record, ho they have voted and if they have supported what I believe.
I was only bullied once and simply stood up to the bully and that was the end of it.
