It used to be that the only Popeye's Restaurant near me was on the Thruway--not the easiest to get to. Then I noticed a sign on Central Avenue that Popeye's would be opening soon. Well soon turned out to be about a year!
Yes, I have already been there and devoured the popcorn shrimp, mashed potatoes with a spicy gravy and a biscuit----DELICIOUS. I will be going back soon to partake in their Chicken--I can hardly wait. Of course it has to be takeout for now--but they do deliver as well.

Oh, I understand, lol. The nearest one to me is about an hour away. When anyone mentions Popeye's or the cartoon character for that matter, I hear that jingle in my head...'love that chicken from Popeye's.' 🎶
