Book Review-Dreaming of Darkspires -C.N. Lesley

This is a prelude to the series Darkspires. I admit I never even thought of reading that series until I read this prelude. It has me interested to say the least. A witch (healer actually), a foundling that she adopts and a mystical bird like creature who is bound and determined to get the girl who was actually left as an offering for him! I think I am going to have to start reading this fantasy series!!

About the Book:(from Amazon)

Every action, however good or bad the intent, creates a consequence. Sometimes the consequences outweigh the gain.
Old Margie, fleeing for her life from the emperor of the Angressi people’s palace, comes across a strange sight. Someone has abandoned a baby on a rock in the middle of a desolate moor. Choices dictate the path of fate. Take the baby or leave it? Which would serve best and does it in the end? For the child, this has life-changing consequences most couldn’t begin to imagine.

It does sound like an interesting story. And I like what I can gather about the characters.
