There is a new woman in the neighborhood --all the kids think she is strange. Kate and Meg decide they will go visit her since they haven't met her yet. The woman is kind of strange but friendly enough when she realizes that all her two neighbors are doing is bring her a welcome box of cookies.
Somehow they got involved in the schools Halloween party which was really more like a carnival for young kids! They convinced their husbands to dress up as well and they all went to help out.
Strange things happen and Kate and Meg are almost taken hostage---turns out the kids were right about this woman!
As usual there are lots of organizational tips in this one. There is also a bunch of safe games that younger children can play that mimic carnival games. The story line that goes along with these tips will keep you reading!
About the Book: (from Amazon)
Fun might be on the schedule for Halloween, but Kate & Meg find crime doesn't take a holiday...
Kate McKenzie never dreamed when she started her business, Stacked in Your Favor, that she'd spend nearly as much time crime solving as organizing.
However, with Halloween approaching, and too many items on the to-do list, she and Meg Berman find themselves in another puzzling—and risky—dilemma. Where every answer leads to another question.
And more danger…

About the Author: (from Amazon)
Ritter Ames is the USA Today Bestselling author of the Organized Mysteries series and the Bodies of Art Mysteries series. When she's not writing or brainstorming new mysteries Ritter is usually trying to get her favorite yellow lab to stay out of the pond, or keep her grouchy black cat from trying to give the dog away on Freecycle. Ritter would love to live on a boat and write from far flung locations around the globe, but the dog would constantly have to be fished from the water, and her husband and cat would just complain endlessly about the dog's smell, so staying on land seems to be the only good option to keep her sanity and not get sidetracked from writing.
