$25 Amazon/PP-1-WW-The Money Club: A High Desert Cozy Mystery #9-Dianne Harman Ends 10/20

Wednesday, October 2, 2019

The Money Club--a highly exclusive club owned by the richest and most powerful men around. Ego's defined most if not all of these men--huge egos! Marty was asked by her friend who owns an Antique Store to please do an appraisal of some of their art works for insurance purposes. He couldn't do it because he sold a lot of it to them and to other members for their personal residences. She accepts and becomes embroiled in an attempted murder at the club. For a change her psychic sister and dog do not sense danger to Marty. But she is alone in this as the Club has shut down any mention of it and kind of convinced the police to close the case. Luckily the Chief thinks better of it and reopens it. I guess I should not have been surprised at who the person was---but it caught me off guard.

A much lighter moment occurs when the Antique dealer, who is allergic to dogs, realizes that there are dogs around who are hypoallergenic and he adopts a puppy. You are sure to laugh as you hear what he and the pup wear!! That is going to be one spoiled dog!!

Of course the people who live in the compound eat very well!! You will find some of the recipes at the end of the novel.

I don't think I would like to live in a compound.. I like being alone a lot :P

While in theory, I like the idea (doing work with others, working towards a goal), I would be terrible at it. I like my alone time. My space. My routines.

While it would be nice to have the meals, I like my space too much to live somewhere like that!
