I have been having trouble for about a year or more with carrying bundles, lifting my left arm (and sometimes my right) and it has gotten progressively worse. I finally decided I better tell my doctor who immediately thought of a torn rotator cuff and sent me to an Osteo (bone) doctor who took xrays and pronounced Arthritis in the Shoulder. He gave me a prescription for Physical Therapy for a month--2 days a week. I refused prescription pain reliever because Advil Liqui-Gels seems to help. If you want to know more about shoulder osteoarthritis click into Verywellhealth.
The physical therapy seems to be loosening my very tight muscles--and the heat feels amazingly good. But as I am about to tell that therapist--the pain is increasing!! I can do more like wash my own hair--but I'm also taking more and more Advil!!
I will continue with the therapy---but as someone told me--it works for some and not for others!!
Well now I can finally get my bra on, wash my hair and several other things that I could not do before--so at least I can do things for myself that I haven't been able to do for a long time!

I am definitely relating to this! I have degenerative disc disease in my neck which causes me a lot of pain in my shoulders, among other places. Thanks for sharing!
