Children seem to love things that make noise. I gave my friend's son a xylophone many years ago--he loved it--my friend almost killed me-he kept on banging away on it-constantly. I know for a fact that my grand niece would love this--When visiting my Mom's apartment I gave her an old rattle--which she proceeded to shake the entire time--along with an old matchbox that had old matches that would never work---Hum-sounds like the perfect gift for her!! So what if my niece never talks to me again--she'll get over it--my friend did!

We all love to play instruments. So we have have family music play time a couple times a week that they get to choose what they want to play
We encourage an interest in music by listening to music, singing songs, and playing musical instruments.
