What an enjoyable cozy mystery this was-I have already purchased the 1st in the series and have the 3rd on pre order. I still can't seem to get and read books in order-but it really did not matter with this one. It can be read as a stand alone!
Try and imagine that you can actually talk to your cat and he can talk back! Kinda frightening actually. Cats truly believe that they are the masters and you are their slave-they will go to any length to train you properly or retrain as the case may be (just ask my cat if you don't believe me).
But can Octo-Cat (a VERY spoiled cat) be convinced to help find the murderers of a small Yorkie's human Mom and Dad. He and his slave may be able to talk to each other--but dog talk-only Octo-Cat can do that--and Octo doesn't particularly like dogs!
Will they track down the murderer with the help of Nan and exonerate the person accused of the murder? Will the little Yorkie be able to overcome his block of the memory and pinpoint the true murderer? You will have to read this sometimes funny cozy to find out!
About the Book: (from Amazon)
I’m finally coming to terms with the fact I can speak to animals, even though the only one who ever talks back is the crabby tabby I’ve taken to calling Octo-Cat. What I haven’t quite worked out is how to hide my secret…
Now one of the associates at my law firm has discovered this strange new talent of mine and insists I use it to help defend his client against a double murder charge. To make things worse, Octo-Cat has no intention of helping either of us.
Our only hope rests on a spastic Yorkie named Yo-Yo, who hasn't quite figured out his owner is dead. Can we find a way to get Yo-Yo to help solve the murder without breaking his poor doggie heart?

About the Author: (from Amazon)
While USA Today bestselling author Molly Fitz can't technically talk to animals, she and her doggie best friend, Sky Princess, have deep and very animated conversations as they navigate their days. Add to that, five more dogs, a snarky feline, comedian husband, and diva daughter, and you can pretty much imagine how life looks at the Casa de Fitz.
Molly lives in a house on a high hill in the Michigan woods and occasionally ventures out for good food, great coffee, or to meet new animal friends.
Writing her quirky, cozy animal mysteries is pretty much a dream come true, but sometimes she also sometimes goes by the name Melissa Storm (also a USA Today bestselling author, yay!) and writes a very different kind of story.
