This is not a sponsored post-I received NOTHING for mentioning these eating establishments!
My Mom LOVES to eat out. So whenever I take her out shopping or to an appointment we absolutely have to go and eat lunch somewhere. I generally tell her to pick since whenever I suggest someplace--she suddenly does not want to go there. As a result I insist she tells me where she wants to go!! She will usually say one of the two Diners she likes to which I try to convince her to please pick somewhere else! There is one Chinese Restaurant we both enjoy--it is in the shopping center on Central Avenue next to Best Buys and on the other side of the center from Trader Joes. They have a special lunch menu which is quite reasonably priced. I always get the pepper steak with white rice and wonton soup-she gets the chicken with vegetables brown rice and wonton soup.

As you drive north on Central Avenue-in the shopping center opposite Barnes & Nobel is an Italian Restaurant called Pizza Beat. Monday thru Friday they have a lunch menu that starts at 8.00-13.00. Every meal comes with a fresh (and chilled) salad and a bread basket. Lately I have been getting the 2 slices of regular pizza with a salad for 8.00--My Mom gets the same. I have had their Chicken Parmesan lunch-and it was delicious. I actually go there when I go out to lunch with one of my friends--you can't beat these prices!

Driving along--NATHANS. Now this is my Mom's absolute favorite!! She loves her hot dogs with only sauerkraut. Me--well I pile on the Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, diced Onions and sauerkraut. I guess I don't like the taste of hot dogs as much as she does. Of course one of us has to order French Fries for Both of us to eat and drinks. It is getting kind of expensive but still oh so worth it.

Keep driving and you will come to the Outback Steakhouse. We both love steak but don't go there often enough in my opinion! I do love their Steak Salad and will choose that most of the time. My Mom usually goes with the 6 oz steak and 2 sides--but last time we went there I ordered the steak and lobster tail--I thought I had died and gone to heaven--that lobster was so sweet!! And if you have ever eaten at the Outback you know that their bread is the absolute best. At least that is one thing both she and I agree on! Heaven help the restaurant that does not serve bread with a meal. My Mom LOVES her Bread!!

I am obsessed with tumbleweed! It's amazing, you get chips and salsa plus their croutons are so good.
My friends and I love the Springfield Diner in Springfield, PA. It is not what you would expect from a "diner," and the food is top-rate! Still miss Nathan's though! Thanks for sharing!
