Guest Book Review on Sweet Heat at Bayside by Devorah Bergman
Sweet Heat at Bayside is another brilliant story about two people who have known each other for a long time and finally take the next step in their relationship. Serena and Drake have known each other for years and have had the connection, but circumstances waylaid any plans to actually become a couple.
This book really hit home because of the way Drake acted. There are so many times in relationships (both romantic and nonromantic) where one person acts or does not act based on what they think is best for the other person. Reality is that people are constantly growing and changing - and dreams shift as plans are altered. Drake finally realizes this as Serena is leaving Bayside and acts on his feelings.
The way the two of them complement each other and have the others best interest in mind amazes me and makes me hopeful.
I cannot wait for the next Sweet with Heat Bayside book!
