Book Review-To Tame a Savage Heart (Rogues and Gentlemen Book 7)-Emma V Leech

Friday, June 8, 2018

If you haven't read One Wicked Winter-book 6 in this series (see my review here) then I suggest you do! All of these books in this series can be read as stand alone-but To Tame A Savage Heart kind of has most of the same characters.

Crecy does not approve of the way woman are supposed to act--and she does exactly as she pleases as long as she is not caught! Back when she was very young she met up with Viscount DeMorte as he sat alone on a park bench. She decided he needed a friend and spent the next several years writing to him every month! Well--she grew up and was bound and determined to find DeMorte. Imagine her extreme happiness when she found that they were to be neighbors.

Oh he fought long and hard to frighten her away--but she was persistent. He was known as a dark and frightening man--but Crecy saw the good in him and decided to try and heal him--

This was a delightful tale of a strong and persistent female who was bound and determined to get her way no matter what it took!

I received an ebook copy of this book for enjoyment and possible review.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Lucretia ‘Crecy’ Holbrook has a secret, a secret she has kept for many years. Even her dearest confidant and sister, Belle, would not understand what Crecy is prepared to do, the risks she is prepared to take, to get her heart’s desire.

For Crecy is not like the other smiling débutantes; she despises poetry, thinks dancing a chore and is quite prepared to throw something at the next fool to compare her to Aphrodite.

Far more likely to return from a country walk with a badger’s skull and some bloody, injured creature than a posy of wildflowers, Crecy is drawn to the dark, the damaged, and the unlovable.

Her heart longs for one man alone, one with a wounded soul, one so dreadfully damaged that even her tender care might not be enough to save him.

Viscount Demorte is everything she dreams of.

With a reputation that covers blackmail, murder and madness, cruelly handsome Lord Gabriel Greyston, Viscount Demorte, is far more dangerous than any wounded dog, and his bite … just might leave Crecy ruined beyond repair.

Lords and Viscounts sound like fun. I love a book with interesting characters, and you can't be a story with a strong female at it's center.
