Book Review-Murder Above the Fold (Elder Witch Cozy Mystery Series Book 1)- ReGina Welling and Erin Lynn

Friday, March 9, 2018

This is an easy reading little cozy which I am sure you will enjoy. Lately it seems I have been reading cozy's with Witches--and enjoying every second of them!

You are going to love the two sisters who generally disagree on most things. My favorite was the 1000 year old coven leader who was bound and determined to cause trouble. Meg and Clara were brought into town to try and control her--------

Of course they do get distracted by a dead body----and while trying to figure out who did it (law enforcement deemed it an accident)--they also happen upon the answer to a long ago "accidental death"

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Recent transplants to the quaint little town of Harmony, sister witches Clara and Margaret Balefire thought they were leaving the hectic pace of city life in their rearview mirror.

Turns out, keeping up with a thousand-year-old coven leader with a penchant for magical mischief isn't the most exciting item on their agenda.

When Mag and Clara stumble over the dead body of a local woman, they refuse to let the ruling of accidental death stand--not when they're positive it was murder.

If you like cantankerous old witches, concealed covens, and unsolved murders, you'll love this humorous magical story full of chaos and intrigue.

Murder Above the Fold is the first book in the Elder Witch paranormal cozy mystery series.

This is a full-length, humorous paranormal cozy mystery novel.

About the Author: (from Amazon)

Hi all, my name is Erin Lynn and I’m a writer from No-Place-You’ve-Ever-Heard-Of, Maine.

Apparently the ability to express myself most articulately via the written word is a hereditary trait–My mom is ReGina Welling, author of the Psychic Seasons series of cozy romantic mystery novels.

After living in Syracuse, NY for 8 years, I recently returned to the middle of nowhere with the intention of hibernating, writing lots of books and turning a neglected house into a beautiful home.

My life is made complete by my two hilarious sons, ages 8 and 10, my amazing boyfriend and an ever-expanding collection of pets!

ReGina Welling prefers not to talk about herself in the third person so...

I live in Maine with my husband, a crazy cat named Cricket, and a feisty Jack Russell terrier named Schnickelfritz. I write full time and also create mixed media artwork when I get the chance.

When I was three, my mom brought home a new book and when she went to read it to me, I read it to her instead. That was when she realized I'd learned to read. Since then I couldn't even estimate the number of books I've read. It's a lot!

I love talking to other readers so please visit me in any one of these various places and don't forget to let me know you stopped by!

Murder Above The Fold sounds like an interesting busy (trouble from the ole 1,000 year old) mystery book. I like that they solve an old mystery about an accidental death, supposedly. I always liked Cold Case back when it was on.

I love to read a good mystery book! The best is where you are left surprised with the outcome of the end!
