It's so important to spend time reading with your kids! It's also important that it is a good story that teaches a lesson to help kids make better choices and be better people. Little Green gives children self-confidence and shows them that it is OK to accept everyone, even if someone does not look like them or act like them. This is a beautiful story that all children will love!
It is my opinion (Miki Hope) that you should start reading to your children almost as soon as they are born. They might not understand but the pictures may catch their eyes and your voice reading will certainly get their attention! Keep reading to them as they grow--let them learn to LOVE reading. It will definitely help later in life and a life time habit may be born (now this is one habit that everyone should have!!).
About Little Green:
Little Green Frog sees other animals, with their special skills, and hops after them asking “Isn’t it possible?” he can be a goose, horse or koi. On his quest for a way to be special, he learns that ALMOST anything is possible. This story has beautiful illustrations, fun rhyming, and lessons about self-esteem. One of my favorite lines int he story is: “Believe in yourself,” The Great Goose said. “Anything is possible if it’s in your head.” Yes, it’s true the frog couldn’t fly like the geese, but he could be the best frog he could be.
Little Green introduces young readers to animal groups, traits and skills while he learns an important lesson.

I would read this book to my three grandchildren! 😊
I love children's books that teach lessons whether about themselves, their peers, their behavior, manners, love, their future. I also enjoy hearing about parents reading to their children above the first few years. My youngest let me read to him until he was 17. I know that is kinda old but, if he learned anything from it (and I believe he did) it was all worth it.
My granddaughter, Briana, would love the Little Green Children's Book by Arnold Rudnick. She is not old enough to read so, of course I would be reading it to her. I so love educating her mind.
I always read to my kids when they were younger. This is just the type of storyline I love too. If it has a positive life lesson, I would want to read it to them.
