Have you ever thought about having plastic surgery somewhere on your anatomy? I did once or twice since I happen to work as a bookkeeper for a plastic surgeon on occasion--but after reading this cozy mystery--I never will!! Now I know the guy I work for isn't like this--but I'm taking no chances!!! He probably never even realized he was analyzing my face once in a while--uh NO WAY Doc!! Of course I don't have the funds for cosmetic surgery anyway--insurance does NOT cover it!! But in the Palm Springs area there are plenty of woman with the funds and the time. And they are flocking to one particular plastic surgeon.
This guy has issues and knowingly or not he is making each of the woman look somewhat like his ex--with whom he is still very much in love. He is LOADED and has is having his antique Shaker furniture appraised for insurance purposes---then he is murdered in his office! Is it his current wife, one of the husbands who were not exactly pleased with the results of his wife's surgery and new look, his administrative assistant or was it his partner in the lucrative practice.
Meanwhile--our black lab has been convinced not to wear pink booties when he goes for his walk. He has also somewhat transferred his allegiance from Marty to her new husband----Laura (the psychic who is Marty's sister)--has to get involved. There are way too many suspects.
Of course there are some delicious recipes at the end which are also within the book and part and parcel of the story!
Dianne Harman has done it again!!!!!
About the Book: (from Amazon)
From USA TODAY Bestselling Author and seven time Amazon All Star Author:
Planning on having a little "work" done? What if after the facelift you looked like a lot of other women in the area? Could you murder the plastic surgeon who did the work?
Someone in the wealthy Palm Springs area murdered the plastic surgeon, but who? Was it one of his former patients disappointed with the result of a facelift? An associate, jealous of the doctor's success, and who wanted more money so he could buy a bigger yacht? His administrative assistant who had spent the last twenty years of her life hopelessly in love with him? His wife, because he'd decided to divorce her? Or even his ex-wife, who had custody of their children, and would inherit a lot of money if he was dead?
With so many persons of interest, what's needed in this case is a psychic, and fortunately the police detective's sister-in-law, Laura, is one of the best. Join Police Detective Jeff Combs, his wife, Marty, who happened to be in the process of appraising the doctor's antique Shaker furniture collection when he was murdered, and Laura, as they try to determine who killed the doctor.
As always, plenty of food, recipes, and dogs. Enjoy!

I have thought about having plastic surgery before. There are so many things I would like to fix, but it's just not in my budget. I haven't tried any of those recipes yet, but would definitely like to.
I haven't tried any of the recipes yet. I wish I had the money for plastic surgery but I will have to settle for all my imperfections.

No, I haven't thought of having plastic surgery because I have zero pain tolerance. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet.
I haven't because I just don't find a need to look younger or beautiful. This book would be right up my daughters alley. It sounds intense and mysterious. Now, I want to know who done it!
Sounds like an interesting book. I do have to say don't judge a book by the cover. The cover is kind of misleading in this case.
I've ever thought about having plastic surgery. I haven't tried to make any of the recipes in Dianne Harman's books.

I haven't tried any of the recipes yet but it's something I'm planning on doing. Plastic surgery, sure, I've thought about it but I'm not sure I would want to spend the money it would require.
Yes I have thought about plastic surgery, but some procedures, have to be done more then once. My sister in law had work done and had many problems later, with many surgeries later.

I would love to have weight loss surgery, but I could never afford it! Changing my face though isn't something I've ever really wanted to do. (Except for the chubbiness!!!) I haven't tried any of the recipes yet. The book looks interesting!
I have thought about having plastic surgery a long time ago. I just try to be happy with myself even with all of my flaws!
Now that I'm older and gravity is working its effects on me, I've thought that if I was rich, I'd get my breasts lifted. Since I'm not rich, I guess nature will just take its course.
I have never thought of plastic surgery. I'm a take me as I am girl I guess.
I have thought of plastic surgery. Someday I will.
Considered plastic surgery - just fleeting thoughts. As for Dianne Harman's recipes, no, I've never tried making any of them.
I have thought of having plastic surgery. I would like to get the extra skin out from under my chin. I also would like to have the extra skin gone that's hanging over my eyelids.
I thought about plastic surgery, but not seriously. I thought if anything went wrong, maybe I would look like George Lopez in that episode where he had that botch lip job.
