My 94 year old Mom has been in a lot of pain due to a bad hip--and decided to get a hip replacement. As a result I have had to drive her to not only the normal places--like shopping, etc--but to a lot of pre-op appointments! The hospital pre-op lasted 6 hours--then we had to return on a different day because they THOUGHT they saw something on her lungs. Mind you that that hospital is about an hours drive from my apartment to her apartment-then to the hospital. The Cat Scan showed clear lungs! All the other tests were okay as well. In between she had to be taken to her Cardiologist for a Nuclear Stress Test-(took 3 1/2 hours)-She passed that with flying colors as well!! Remember she is 94--My Mom is in better shape then I am (other then her hip). Now let's not forget that I had to take her for a mani/pedi. And also, before she goes in for the operation on the 25th--to get her hair trimmed (I think that will be Wednesday). I was informed that today I have to take her to pick up her watch at the jewelry store, then go to a little store near where she lives that have the most delicious frozen meals so she can stock her freezer for when she gets home. She also wants to go to have a bite to eat for lunch--probably at the diner in the town where she lives.
I have a client tomorrow which should be quick-at least I hope so--because I was informed that one of my nieces is coming down to see her, and of course I am expected to be there. I have a client again on Monday--then Tuesday and Wednesday she has me slated for various other errands. Thursday I have to take her to the hospital. The operation is scheduled for then so obviously I will be sitting in the waiting room until it is over and I find out if all is well. Wednesday--I will probably spend most of the day there.
I am still not sure whether they will be sending her to a rehab or home------
I AM TIRED--VERY VERY TIRED.
And Baby, my not very patient cat is slowly turning into a Tasmanian devil--
PS--Sunday Stroll is pre-scheduled and will go live at 6;30 PM this evening!!

I'll bet your about exhausted, although I heard that is what keeps us going, well not me but people like you and your mom. With the extra work comes the joy of still having your mother at 94. I lost mine 4 years ago. I think I took for granted, that she would always be here. The blog will wait while life happens, enjoy yourself while your out since the cold is gone and the heat hasn't yet arrived. Wishing the best for your mom's surgery.
It sounds like you are very busy and you need to remember to take care of yourself. Maybe someone to help your mom with the shopping to ease your schedule and allow you to focus on the doctor visits.
I hope you get the rest you need to keep up with your busy schedule.
