$25 Amazon/PP-1-WW-A Flair for Chardonnay-Deborah Garner-Ends 6/5

Tuesday, May 17, 2016

I love this new series by Deborah Garner. She has created a unique and very flamboyant main character who seems to find trouble all by herself and turns into an amateur sleuth! Sadie Kramer has a flair for fashion and is a definite chocoholic!! She has a cute little pampered and very spoiled Yorkie who goes with her almost everywhere and of course in style.

When the owner of her favorite store which sells chocolates of course and happens to be right next to her fashion boutique seems to be in some kind of trouble--Sadie hightails it up to his families vineyard to see if she can figure out what is going on---then someone is murdered. Lots of suspects and Sadie is determined to exonerate her friend and figure out who the real culprit is. There are quite a few and it takes her a while. It is who you will least expect it to be.

And then there are all those delicious sounding wines, foods and chocolates of which Sadie is forever partaking! There are a couple of the recipes at the end of the book--I will leave you to guess which is my favorite.

NEW RELEASE....

When flamboyant senior sleuth Sadie Kramer learns the owner of Cioccolato, her favorite chocolate shop, is in trouble, she heads for the California wine country with a tote-bagged Yorkie and a slew of questions. The fourth generation Tremiato Winery promises answers, but not before a dead body turns up at the vintners’ scheduled Harvest Festival.

All four Tremiato siblings have possible motives, as well as a few peripheral acquaintances, but only one could be the guilty party. As Sadie juggles truffles, tips and turmoil, she’ll need to sort the grapes from the wrath in order to find the identity of the killer.
