Today is our dog's birthday, and she is funny in a skittish way. The wind blew our cover off our grill onto the ground. When our dog went outside the cover on the ground was new and she stood at the door and growled at it.

This sounds like a story that would truly touch my heart too! I am a very big animal activist and always root for the underdog too. Sounds like a very heartwarming story of hope and resilience, and the protagonist just happens to be a dog. Wonderful!
When I have to bring our cat to the Vet , he won't go in to the pet box. I have to push him in to the box, he uses his paws to push away from the box. Then when I get him to the Vet he won't come out of the box. We do every thing to get him out. But he has his paws on the inside of the box holding him self in the box. What a job just going to the Vet's.
There aren't many things that make me sadder than seeing a disabled dog. I don't know if I could make it through the book in one piece!

WOW!! just reading that little bit brought tears to my eyes, Call me sensitive but it bothers me so when humans feel the need to destroy what has been given to them to love.. I know this story has a better outcome than most,,But so many are out there waiting for love..

My husband and I have two cats. One of them is named Freddy and he's kind of on the pudgy side ...okay a lot on the pudgy side! He's adorable and extra fluffy.
Well my husband and I were putting together a piece of furniture that we had ordered and there were boxes and cardboard cut outs all over our apartment as we were building. We suddenly hear a squeaking (Freddy doesn't meow, he squeaks) and we end up finding Freddy stuck in a cardboard cutout. The hole he managed getting stuck in was about 2x smaller than he was, but he apparently tried squeezing through it anyways. It was so cute and my husband and I giggled uncontrollably as we cut it off of him (yes, we had to cut it off!!). LOL

The funniest thing for me is watching my cat chase the laser pointer for a good 45 minutes and then panting like a dog for about 10 minutes..... it was so funny and I have never seen a cat pant before! He unfortunately has figured out the laser since and does not get into it as much.... he is so smart! Thanks for this lovely giveaway and good luck to all!

This sounds like such a heartwarming read. I love that it revolves around pets and addresses disabilities in pets.
Oh, there are just too many funny moments. I'm down to three rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds, from five (I lost my deaf girl last April from an autoimmune disorder - she was only five, and then lost my senior girl - Suki, 15 - exactly one year later). My deaf girl, Ran, was the silliest of the bunch. Two things stand out. She used to go with me to run errands and even drive rescue transports. One time I stopped for gas and they had someone dressed up in a Snickers candy bar costume standing outside, waving at people. Ran had the most hilarious look on her face - and reaction. Poor girl was beyond confused and kept looking at the Snickers bar and barking and then looking at me for an explanation. The other thing, and something she did pretty often, was she'd get "upset" with me and do a little head tilt and turn away from me. If she could have crossed her front legs like a person crosses their arms, she probably would have. I really miss her and her antics.
Unfortunately I do not have a pet.
When we went to PetCo to get a new toy the auto door opened with a gust of cold air and Blackie started barking at it. Once inside it was okay.

The funniest thing my cat does is sometimes he falls off of the back of the chair when he is sleeping. He always catches himself before he hits the floor.
The funniest thing our dog did was to call his Auntie on the phone - true story. We all still get a good laugh at it.

My dogs are doing funny things every day. I think it's funny when Scout races back and forth down the hall with his squeaky toy.
My cat likes to hang out in the bathroom admiring himself in the mirror.
The funniest thing my cat has done was when there was a fly in the house and she was jumping up in the air trying to catch it (she actually DID catch it!)
My cat used to come running whenever I crunched up a piece of newspaper and I would throw it and she would fetch it like a dog and run right back to me and drop it at my feet and this would go on for hours and it was just adorable!
