There was a giveaway on my blog recently where I said that I read every single one of Michael P Cash's books-except this one. I told you then that I would get this book and review it! I always try to keep my promises-thank you to this marvelous author for sending me an advanced reader paperback copy for review purposes!!
This is a novella, but one that will have you trying to figure out whether Amanda is alive and dreaming or dead--it is not until the VERY end that you will find out. It reminded me somewhat of another novella which to this day I can not get out of my head-"The Hanging Tree". I combined it with one of the Battle for Darracia reviews I wrote. Both The History Major and The Hanging Tree will resonate in my brain for years to come.
I will leave you with these 2 quotes which can be found at the beginning if the book and which I truly believe to be truth.
Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.--George Santayana
History is not a burden on the memory but an illumination of the soul--Lord Acton
About the Book (from Amazon)
After a vicious fight with her boyfriend followed by a night of heavy partying, college freshman Amanda Greene wakes up in her dorm room to find things are not the same as they were yesterday. She can't quite put her finger on it. She's sharing her room with a peculiar stranger. Amanda discovers she's registered for classes she would never choose with people that are oddly familiar. An ominous shadow is stalking her. Uncomfortable memories are bubbling dangerously close to her fracturing world, propelling her to an inevitable collision between fantasy and reality. Is this the mother of all hangovers or is something bigger happening?

Sounds like a great book. I would love to read it to see if Amanda is really dreaming or not.

This sounds like an awesome novella! I have trouble committing to whole novels lately so this length would be workable.
I really want to read this one. Sounds like it would keep me interested!
Your description sounds intriguing. I love to read, particularly in the winter if I have the time I grab a cup of coffee and a blanket and get lost in a book.
This book sounds very interesting. I would love to find out why this is happening to Amanda. I have to read this book.

You know, I'm a huge fan of Historical ficture... but I'm not a big fan of novellas - they often leave you wanting more usually you know?
Historical books sounds interesting, I'm a fan of it. I would love this book for sure.
I love the movies when you can't decide if something is actually happening or if the person is dreaming or it's happening in their subconscious so I think this book would be equally interesting!
Sounds like a fascinating read. I find it like a mystery when you are trying to figure out if it's the present, past or a dream...
