Although this is definitely not a genre I would normally read I did end up enjoying it. Of course being kind of ancient I had trouble keeping up with all the imaginary werewolves, gargoyles, ghosts, vampires, demons and assorted people who had the ability to perform magic! I really felt for Eva, the guardian angel who really wasn't too good at her job--but she tried so hard!! Of course the Three Fates had to make an appearance and I was routing for Eva!! How she got all those disparate entities to cooperate makes for really good reading.
This book would be perfect for your tween and you might enjoy it also!!! But you better read it first-only you can tell what is right for your child! I was just informed that it is considered Urban Fantasy and meant for adults!

I would definitely give it a go, myself. I love to see your reviews and give myself a bit of a headstart on something new to read. There are so many thousands of books out there, it can be hard to pick, sometimes!

Sounds like an interesting read. It's not something that I would pick out for myself, but I think my sister-in-law would find it exciting.
I've read all the wizards, all the vampires. I'm ready for something new. I love the concept behind this with the main character being a guardian angel. Sounds like it's a fun read.

Hmm, fantasy usually isn't my cup of tea. But my niece is really into books like this. We've been trying to find her a gift, so I'll have to let you know if we end up ordering it.
