I also go over the store flyers and hubby and I plan our Black Friday shopping strategy while looking for amazing deals online all day. We all love to travel and see new place, plus we can pick out really interesting restaurants to do Thanksgiving dinner. This will be the 4th year without my oldest son, after the first year, my brother and sister and their families stopped coming to my dad's for the holiday, I think it was just too hard for them. The second year, we started a new tradition, because we are all different people now. My daughter and I cook and my twin boys entertain their kids and my daughters kids. Once with my mother and my sister and family...we all decided to go out to a buffet-style restaurant. We said what we were thankful for, and toasted to a great Thanksgiving. We have all the traditional foods, like cranberry sauce ( homemade) pumpkin pie, Apple pie, blueberry pie, mashed potatoes and gravy, a veggie side, rolls, stuffing! Unknown said...: I know this is going to sound very strange to some people, but my favorite tradition is going to Denny's with my parents and going to see a movie. We started that tradition back in '94 (although it was 2 movies and a Howard Johnson's the first time). :D
