This is definitely not the genre of book I prefer. However, anyone who loves Christian themed books will absolutely love this one. I have to say that the actual story line was really good and I was able to read it rather quickly.

It is essentially about a young girl who leaves her parents home and moves in with a friend. She meets a man at work and falls head over heels--of course this guy wasn't exactly prince charming! He leaves her high and dry and heartbroken. She meets a group of people through a church Bible study group and becomes involved with them. Tragedy has not let up in her life even after she marries the man of her dreams. It is faith and prayer that gets her through.

I have mixed feelings about it. The story sounds interesting, but I struggle with christian lit because it sometimes comes off as very preachy and in your face. Is this like that?

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing Finding Hope, especially since it's not your favorite genre! I really value the feedback!!!

In answer to Liz's question, I hope it's not preachy. I do share my faith though, the story is actually loosely based on my mom's life and I tried to stay true to the circumstances and things she felt. Hope that helps a little. :)

Guys are jerks that way. It is usually the women who is the level-headed one in the relationship!

I don't think I have ever read a Christian themed book. This one looks like it might be worth taking the time to read it.
