Book Review-THE CURVY GIRLS BABY CLUB-Michele Gorman

Wednesday, September 2, 2015

The women who founded the Curvy Girls Club (my review here) are back. But as they are about to find out, losing weight and learning to love the body you are in does not always work outside the boundaries of their club (which is flourishing beautifully). There are some who will test your resolve. Will they be able to remain positive in the face of some well meaning and some not so well meaning people while they gain the most beautiful weight of all?

You will laugh, moan and totally sympathize with these three woman as they each await their Christmas due date. You really will enjoy this short novella and if you haven't already read the Curvy Girls Club to see how it all began!

About the Book: (From the Publisher)

The Curvy Girls Baby Club, written by best-selling author Michele Gorman, is the body-positive, uplifting and very funny novella about three curvy friends trying to keep their sense of humour and self-esteem in the face of life, love and a Christmas due date.

Ellie is fresh back from her honeymoon and can't wait to share her news with her best friends Katie and Jane. To everyone's surprise, mother-of-two Jane has news of her own... The women are due a day apart and Katie can't wait to be an honorary auntie to the babies.

But it's hard to keep your sense of humour, not to mention your self-esteem, in the face of hemorrhoids and elasticated waistbands. Add a clingy mother-in-law, a career in cardiac arrest and a sex life that makes Mother Theresa look lusty, and soon their lives are as out of control as their bodies.

As the co-founders of The Curvy Girls Club, where loving yourself is the only rule, will the friends be able to practice what they preach?

This is a novella of approximately 120 pages in print.

Purchase the Book Here:

Please note that the Amazon price will be 99p/99c for the next week or so. Then the price will go back up to £1.99/$2.99.

I am a curvy girl myself and have a couple of babies. You can't watch your waistline when you are pregnant. Looks like this would be a fun read.

I do t think it matters where you live or what you do, there are clicks and people who just don't seem to like you, no matter how hard you try, that's why you eventually have to let it all go and hold tight to the people who value you.

That book is probably a great read, especially for someone who is pregnant. I bet that it would really give a pregnant lady some perspective.

That's not very long at all. Sometimes I like a quick read for the beach or a day at the pool.

Remaining positive when people keep trying to bring you down is really difficult. This book sounds really cute. It definitely sounds like a must-read for women.

This is a common dilemma for ladies when they reach middle age. A lot can relate to the story for sure and would be interesting how things end up with the three friends.

This sounds like a great book, espcially for us curvy ladies. Self esteem is a big issue as you age and things aren't necessarily in the right place. Might be one I need to check out!
