Book Review-Cinderella Blue (A Romantic Comedy) (San Antone Two-Step Book 2)-Joan Reeves

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

I actually laughed aloud at quite a few points in this book--nothing like two hard headed people who are each trying to one up each other while trying to deny their mutual attraction! It doesn't help that they are both police officers and that one of them messed up the others collar. They both have vindictive bosses and are forced to work together---both trying to ignore that attraction--or at least one of them is! Of course they are trying to solve two crimes and run into some pretty mean and crazy characters. I will definitely be reading more of this author's novels!!

About the book: (from Amazon)

In Cinderella Blue, a Romantic Comedy, Love means never having to say, "You're under arrest."

Pre-order price of 99cents ends on April 13, 2015.

Too bad, because Detective Andrea Luft--Andie to her friends--loves those 3 little words--especially when she's saying them to a "bad guy" who SO deserves it. Like the thief stealing designer wedding gowns from San Antonio bridal boutiques.

Andie is an undercover bride about to make an arrest when Detective Bruce Benton barges onto the scene. The suspect escapes, and, as a reward for this screw-up, Benton and Andie are paired together as partners to close the case.

On the surface, this mismatched duo appear to have only one thing in common: their tendency to annoy each other. Underneath though, desire sizzles. Is it just a matter of time before these two commitment-phobic cops yield to the inevitable?

Cinderella Blue, Book 2, San Antone Two-Step, by Joan Reeves, Bestselling Author of Contemporary Romance.

Previously print published, this ebook edition contains a Linked Table of Contents; a Note from the Author; Joan's Book List; Excerpt from Nobody's Cinderella, Book 1 of San Antone Two-Step; Excerpt, April Fool Bride; and a Quotation Collection: Things Cops Say.

Sounds like it might be one for my wife, definitely not me. I tend to gravitate to non-fiction.

Intriguing! Good timing for this one to emerge, too. Cinderella is big these days! (Although I'm sure this book is more exciting than the current movie LOL)

Seeing the cover, I thought it's an action story but it's actually a romantic comedy? You know, I have never read a book with comedy in it..

I am definitely ordering this one. My husband and I worked together for years and this sounds so similar to us trying to ignore each other - can not wait.

I would love this book. I usually stay true to Nora Roberts only because I like the push pull relationships, the confusion and the love story that ignites. Thanks for sharing.

This sounds like a great book to read. I love it when characters who seem to dislike have to work together. Adding this to my reading list.

Thank you, Miki, for the awesome review. It was a lot of fun to write since it featured the hard-headed big brother Bruce Benton from the first book in the series NOBODY'S CINDERELLA.

Next in the series is Mr. Cinderella. Should be fun.
