Book Review-The Monticello Project-Paul Snare

Friday, March 13, 2015

This is an interesting novel on the construction industry and some of the shenanigans that can be played by the outside contractors and their employees or even the employees of the project itself! Jon Scott was hired by the insurance company of the project to help the project manager and to make sure no finds were diverted etc.

If it could possibly happen it did in this novel--from drugs (and you won't believe where those were hidden) to murder and of course you know there has to be a romantic interest with Jon and Kathy. There is really no time for much to happen between them and Kathy does feel ignored sometimes! She is instrumental in helping Jon ferret out the bad guys!

All in all I enjoyed reading this book and if there is a sequel I will certainly pick it up and read it!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

A contractor distributing cocaine, the murder of a state trooper and a number of scams mingle to make Jon Scott's assignment broader than just offering advice to Monticello's project manager. The FBI and DEA use Jon's knowledge as an investigative asset to solve the crimes.

About the Author: (from Amazon)

I was a capital project manager for Procter & Gamble, Scott Paper and Weyerhaeuser for forty years. In my two books I share opinions and viewpoints of Project Management in one and fictionalize a project ripe with theft, drugs and murder in the other. I live in Washington State with my wife, Louise.

So Kathy is trying to help Jon and he ignores her or make her feel ignored anyway. Isn't that just typical of a man. I want to read this and find out how it turns out.

I just finished one of my books and was wondering what I would read next. I will head to Amazon and grab this one. Nothing better than a good mystery, wonder where they hid all the drugs and the body - kind of scary to think about.
