Do you have a young child who has an electronic device such as a tablet or a phone? Do they use the internet and download apps on their devices? If so, you probably have the same fear as most parents; your child can be exposed to inappropriate and/or dangerous apps, websites, etc.
Ourpact is a newly developed app designed by ParentsWare that helps to control your child’s devices using parental control and management. You can block certain apps, block the internet, and schedule a usage time for your child’s device.
This app is extremely easy to use and set up. First, you download it on to your device and sign up for your free account. You will be entering your name, email address and a password for your account. After that, the app will prompt you to go to a specific web URL on your child’s device and pair them up. By doing this, you will have full access to what they are able to do, download, and the time they are allowed to use their device.
If at any point in time your child’s device is unmanaged, your app will alert you immediately so you can correct that if you want to. There are two ways to block apps on your child’s device using this app. You can choose between a manual block and a scheduled block. If you would like to perform a manual block, this will immediately block the app from being downloaded on their device. You can also use a scheduled block, which will allow them to use the app during a certain time period, but not before or after the set time you choose.
If you have company over and would like your child to stay off of their device, simply go to your FAMILY screen within your app and click on “Block Access” and that will go into effect immediately. You can always reverse that when company leaves or when you are ready for them to play on their tablet or phone again.
This app is great for parents who want to be able to monitor what their kids are doing and set a schedule for tablet/phone time during the week and on weekends. I highly recommend it!

I think it is really important to supervise kids on electronic devices and phones. I do that with both of my sons.
I could definitely use something like this for my smartphone. I have an app that records what my daughter does on her iPod and sends it back to me. It's important to keep an eye on kids, their maturity level is quite where it should be yet.
This is a fantastic app. I think all parents should have it. I am going to be telling all of the moms that have young children about this.
This is an amazing app and I am looking into using it for the grandkids.
I got this one, very helpful for parents like who have kids that love gadgets.
This is a good option. My little ones are out in the Wild Wild West these days. Ugh!
I really love this app. It's a great idea for all parents
I love being able to monitor what my daughters are doing and able to access online. I think it's important for us to know what it going on. Thank you for sharing this.
My son just got a tablet for Christmas from his grandmother. I have been looking for a good parental control app for it. I will check this one out.
This seems like a great way to monitor kids' time on devices. They really do have an app for everything.
This sounds like a great app for parents. I am sure that most parents can use all the help they can get.
Awesome app. This is a great way to keep kids safe.
What an awesome way to control the way your children use their electronic devices.
This looks really neat. i'm going to have to check it out a little more.
You know I have been thinking of getting something for my son's Kindle Fire. I have parental controls on, but he still got a person in a game somehow and that makes me highly uneasy! We had a talk, and he's usually right beside me when he plays or reads on it...but you know, always better safe than sorry!
I love how incredible parental controls are becoming. I'm always a proponent of making electronics safer for our kids.
