As most everyone knows by now I am a semi-retired full charge bookkeeper. I have somehow been cajoled into working as a bookkeeper every day this coming week by hysterical clients who waited till the last possible second to do their Payroll Quarterly Taxes and the 1099's and some who are trying to get the stuff ready ahead of time for their accountants--par for the course. I'll get it done for them-and I'm sure they all are suddenly going to become hysterical because their accountants need the year end information--but that will hopefully be a bit staggered, mainly because the information won't even be in their mailboxes till sometime in February. We won't even think about my own taxes which I have semi started but am no where near completing! All this week I have been answering questions on my home phone and walking clients through some payroll stuff--no I don't charge or get paid for that. Then there was the woman who needed me to walk her through printing a report. I won't go into the fact that I have printed the exact same report 5 times for her-she keeps misplacing them!! And then, of course I am driving my Mom around and trying my darndest to read, write up reviews for next week and in general keep up with my blog!!!!!!!!
So, why am I writing this on Sunday--well--I am hoping most of you will at least see it and be patient with me. I will be in the comment threads etc and I will be commenting--just not a quickly as I try to be normally. I will finish one days thread before entering another--If by chance I miss someone PLEASE just let me know-I will rectify it as soon as I possibly can.
Well I better stop typing and start reading--one review is due on the 28th (I already have Monday and Tuesday covered)-then find some short books for the rest of the week.
(Note from Baby--Mom is driving me crazy-she giving me hard time getting up cause she not going to sleep when I tell her to! She typing instead of petting me-this must STOP-maybe if I walk on that thing she types on and try to flip it over Mom will get the message?)
Now if I could just convince Baby to let me sleep a bit later--but then that is when I will probably be playing catch up with my blog!!

Awww I hope it does go smoothly. Nothing like doing things at the last minute but I'm sure your clients do believe in your talents and know that you can do it. When the craziest dies down it might be time to take a vacation. :)
Gotta love those people that wait until the very last second to submit their stuff. I hope you get it all done and manage not to go too crazy :)
Taxes! Bah! I have to admit, I'm a last minute Mary when it comes to that.
That does not sound like fun! Hopefully it won't be too hectic for you!
Tell yourself the opposite out loud, "I will not be crazy wacky this week, I will be calm, I will be cool, I will collected and self-controlled." *Breathe in, breathe out* REPEAT "I will be cool, I will be calm, I will be chill" LOL We are what we think. ;)
Taxes... love to hate them LOL!!! But they are something we need to do. Glad you are there to help so many.
Good luck on surviving the week! You've got this!! Then you get to collapse and rest afterwards.
Panicked customers are the best customers. You can usually charge any amount you wish!
Awww Michele.... That is why I love you. You will tell me like it is. Don't stress yourself out so much. You will get everything done... trust me. You of all people... I would never worry about. You will get us when you get us.
Just take it one step at a time! And cute kitty!
I don't envy you at tax time. I hate to do my OWN taxes, much less anyone else's.
You have a busy week ahead of you for sure. I guess it is nice to be wanted, LOL. Good luck to you this week and love the pic of the cat.
Sounds like your going to very busy this week. Yes, it's that time of the year and almost the end of the month so I agree there is tons for you to do. Good Luck!
Just tell yourself you will have a good week and not go crazy. I hope it goes smoothly for you and not too stressful.
It seems like everyone waits until the last minute when it comes to bookkeeping and tax stuff. I'm sure your clients will be very thankful for your work!
It sound like you will be very busy. Good luck to you.
I honestly don't know how you do it all! Goodness you are so great! Hopefully it will calm down soon. :)
This sounds super crazy, I wish you the best of luck with this super busy schedule!
Good luck with all the coming challenges and last minute rush. You'll survive it, and be armed with stories to share on what not to do at tax time. Ha! ;-)
Oh man, that does sound crazy. Hope it all gets done ;-)
Just dropped by and am having a fine time reading your reviews ;-)
Sounds like a fun week, but I bet you are the type of person who can get it done and still take on new projects, good luck with your taxes, and your clients, and always remember to keepthe figures straight..lol ( I really dread tax time this year.. Have a wonderful day
It can be tough when last minute clients come in. I hope that everything works out for you.
Sounds like you're busy!! Busy is good, it makes you appreciate normal even more. :) GL to you, and to Baby too. :)
Busy week for you! Don't stress too much! :)
It sounds like you are going to be running a little too much. Breathe, drink coffee and we'll all be here when your life is back to normal. :)
Take your time. Sometimes having too much to do is overwhelming!
I honestly don't know how you manage to keep up with all of this. You must be a really quick reader!
Lol…too cute to have your cat help you plead your case. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Me personally, I cannot stand anything to do with numbers, so my brain would be exploding with stress.
