This is a feel good book when all is said and done. I found it a quick read I just couldn't put it down--but then the thought of a lost dog gets me very upset! It definitely has sad portions as well. I can't say much more or I will give away the story-just read below about the book. Just the cover alone had me hooked--I LOVE animals!!!!!!! 5 Star-DEFINITELY.
About the Book (from Amazon)
From the bestselling author of The Long Way Home comes a charming novel about two strangers who find a second chance at happiness when they’re brought together by one extraordinary dog.
A year after the death of his wife, Christine, Dan is barely holding on. But one thing gets him through the long, lonely nights and that is his cherished dog, Anni. When she is stolen from his front yard, Dan and his daughter, Lindsay, are devastated. Meanwhile in another part of town, Andrea Keller is recovering from the heartbreak of a messy divorce. After she rescues a defenseless dog from an abusive tenant, her life changes in ways she never could have anticipated.
Dan and Andrea cross paths again and again, only to keep missing each other and the opportunity of a lifetime. As Anni works to find her way home, can she bring together these two lost souls desperately in need of a second chance at happiness?

This sounds like a great read for both dog lovers and non-lovers alike. I typically fall into the latter category but have family members who really get a lot of joy from dogs. And any feel good book is welcome on a cold evening! Thanks for the review.
This would be perfect for my MIL who is a HUGE dog lover, although it sounds like you don\'t have to be a huge dog lover to like this book!
I'm reading this and it's reminding me of the movie I just saw with Keanu Reeves "John Wick". This does sound like a book I would read. Will put this in my Kindle TBR list.
I love seeing all these reviews, I miss books right now, with so many other responsibilities, but I really hope I can get some time to relax soon now that all of my children are getting to an age where things are a lot less crazy! :)
I could sure use a feel good book right now. So many things have been happeining in my life and all of them are not so good.
I'm so happy you enjoyed the book! Thank you for the lovely review. I appreciate it. :)
I love reading and sadly haven't had much of a chance to read lately. This sounds like a good book so I think I am going to have to get myself a copy. I miss reading so this seems like a good book to bring back my love for it. =)
Dogs truly are your best friend. They can get us through almost anything and never judge!
This sounds like a heartwarming read. Anything with animals always makes me happy!
Sounds like a sweet story! Wonder if it's appropriate for tweens?
I love to read but just don't have as much time as I'd like. I hope the dog winds up happy.
The cover has me hooked too! Looks like a sweet read. I need a feel good kind of book right now.
I can't imagine losing my spouse. But I could see how a pet could help you get through it. This looks like a great read.
It sure sounds like it's going to be a sweet one. I'm glad you didn't give away any secrets. :)
I love animals too. I used to get all sorts of bent out of shape when I saw a stray as a child.
A feel-good book? I'm always up for that! And if it has to do with animals, count me in on that, too!
I saw this on a retailer site and wondered how good it was. I love animal stories.
This sounds like an awesome read indeed. Love story all away around. I will have to add this to the list. Thanks for sharing.
This looks like a great book. I think it would be a wonderful bedside reading.
Looks like a book to read a chapter at a time and really take in.
