I was kind of confused when I first started this book-it made no sense to me. Then after a few pages I caught on and read it straight through! I believe this book is geared to teens but honestly I think parents should read it first. There is a bit of violence. But plenty of lessons that our children should learn as well.
Although this is truly a fantasy world where the Creators literally created the workers and threw them into a dark and troubling world-as an adult I could not help but make some comparisons about the world we live in today where a few have it all and the bulk have next to nothing. I loved how they all learned (the good guys anyway)to over come their differences and band together to find a better life then the one they were living.
I have a feeling that I will be reading the rest of this series just to find out how the escapees make out!!
About the Book (from Amazon)
Araina’s isolated teenage life is forever altered when she witnesses a man emerge through a rippling wall into the dark labyrinth she calls home. As a result of the stranger’s arrival, Araina’s Creators have unleashed a series of magical attacks using the labyrinth against its inhabitants. Now Araina must decide if she will trust potentially deceitful allies in order to reach safety on the other side of the labyrinth wall.
The Labyrinth Wall is the story of a young woman who discovers that although labyrinth walls confine her and her enemies try to repress her, the power of hope can set her free.
Will the walls that confine her be the walls that set her free?

About the Author (from Amazon)
Though she was born in Germany and raised in Turkey until the age of five, Emilyann Girdner spent the majority of her grade school years in Tallahassee, Florida. She discovered early she had a love for stories. Reading books, watching movies and then acting them out with friends or toys gave living an extra flavor. This is likely why she spent the first part of her college career studying Creative Writing, before switching to Graphic Design and then graduating with a BFA in Digital Art from Missouri State University in 2011. Her writing has appeared on websites and blogs including Center for Work Life, Easter Seals Florida, MU Museum of Art & Archaeology's Musings and Examiner.com. She is best known for her Amazon Best-Selling novel, The Labyrinth Wall. Emilyann is now living and working in Florida.
Given her three focus transitions as an undergraduate, it isn't a shock that she is a multi-medium lover, exploring writing, digital art, photography and design. She finds that her creativity is most fluent when given the opportunity to bounce between artistic outlets.
To truly understand this Author, there are two things to know about her. Emilyann hopes to share a love for others and God in all she does. She believes that imagination sparks beauty in the soul.

Yes wouldn't it be good if we could all band together in today's life too !
It's a good book when you're looking forward to the rest of the series!
Whenever I come across the word Labyrinth, I can't help but recall the 1986 movie with the same title. Sounds like an exciting, fun read.
Looks like a good one! I'm glad there are books like this one for teens - I don't know a lot of teens who like to read, so this kind of literature is helpful to get them interested!
I love reading YA books! It gives my teen and I something to read together and something new to discuss after work.
Sounds exciting! I'm not sure if you ever read Incarceron, but in the beginning of that book I had no clue what was going on. When I did finally catch on I fell in love and couldn't put it down :). I have a feeling The Labyrinth Wall is the same!
My son is just about to turn 13. I think he would enjoy this book. The mystical aspect is right up his alley!
this book sounds like something i would totally read. adding to my read list.
I love when I can get hooked on a series of books. I just hope that the rest of the series is readily available, otherwise I'm super anxious to receive them!
I love fantasies full of magic. This is on my list to read.
That really sounds like a book I'd read! Going to put it on my TBR list!
This sounds like an interesting read. Thank you for sharing. ;)
Fantasies are the only kinds of books i like to read.. i live reality why read about it.. lol
Sounds interesting and something that I would read just to get my mind going picturing the scenes . Thanks for sharing.
Seems like an interesting book, one I might be able to read through pretty quickly.
I particularly don't like fantasy's but this might be on my list to read!
I agree with you. Every parent should definitely read a book (and the reviews of the book) before buying it for their children or teens.
You sure framed this in a way that makes me want to read it! Thanks for the recommendation!
Oh wow - this sounds like it would be full of suspense!
Sounds interesting. Teens should read this, and for sure it will gives positive thoughts to them about how to overcome from troubles and find a better life. Parents should gift this to their teenagers to motivate them.
This is an interesting way to go about the writing. Really! Glad to have heard about the book!
I think a lot of teen / young adult books should be more for adults these days. Some of them have a quite of bit of violence in it.
I've never heard of this book before, I would love to give it a read some time!
I love that you recommended parents read the book first. Some kids don't need to be reading anything violent and while I sometimes check the books before giving them to my kids I might pass on this one for the boys. :)
