Here is a fact sheet that I was asked to put up
Asbestos is very dangerous and should only be removed by persons who are trained! Let us all get together and try to get asbestos removed from our environment once and for all.
Please visit the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance and learn more about who is at risk and what you can do.

Thanks for helping to raise awareness for this. Sometimes I see law practice commercials advertising this and if someone got it from whatever it was, to contact them. I had no idea what it actually was until now.
I had a friend who had it professionally removed from her home. It was a scary time for her!
It is so sad that so many things around us are truly bad for us! Thank-you for spreading the word!
I just found out my great aunt has breast cancer last night. I along with everyone else in the world HATE CANCER! I was so sure my mom would develop lung cancer from smoking, but I was wrong. ugh.
Thank you for spreading the word. My dad passed away from lung cancer, though it was due to smoking. Asbestos can cause so much damage too!
It's not banned??? I had no idea, that just doesn't make sense at all, does it?!?! Thank you for sharing the information.
I thought it was banned, it is in a lot of older homes and people that do self renovations are not always aware.
I thought it was banned too. We had it in the attic of our old home and I didn't realize it.
I've always seen the commercials from lawyers about this diagnosis, but I'd never really learned much about what it was. Thank you so much for posting the facts here and educating me on it.
Cancer sucks :( Thanks for raising awareness.
It amazes me that there are still so many buildings with abestos insulation. If the lawmakers had to care for someone suffering from this disease I bet they would be more proactive. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for posting this. It is great information to get out there. My husband has worked closely with companies that do asbestos removal. You would be surprised at how many buildings still have it.
I think what you are doing is very important, awareness for mesothelioma is a great thing to spread
i didn't know asbestos wasn't banned yet! how crazy! thanks for all this information
asbestos isn't banned yet? I thought it was! How horrible! Great information, thanks for posting
When it comes to lung cancer it is a hard topic for me. My grandfather passed away from it back in 2012 and its been so hard! Thank you for posting this means so much!
I too hear those commercials about asbestos but never really thought about it. It's awful that people suffer so much from it.
It is so important to raise awareness about this, especially during lung cancer awareness month. As a Survivor, I always advocate for any programs that teach the public about cancer awareness and treatment options.
Getting tested for this when working on the railroad was done every 6 months for old-timers.
My dad used to be an asbestos remover back in the 80s
This is such good information on this particular disease. Thank you for sharing it.
I always see the ads for lawsuits for this. Who knew, back in the day, that asbestos was so harmful?? Not even that many years ago, I used to dry my little girls hair with a blowdryer that was filled with asbestos!!
i have family member who have passed from this and other cancer and then this is relaly something you got to keep up with
Thanks for all this information
Mesothelioma finally took my dad last year. Thank you for putting out this information.
Thank you so much for posting this! My husband lost his father to this horrible disease. I never had a chance to meet him.
This is a very sad thing to come down with, so my heart goes out to them. I read and enjoyed with empathy.
This is great that you are helping raise awareness. My father had this from working for the railroad for 50 years.
I have a friend going through this right now, thank you for the post. It helps a lot knowing more.
I can't believe it is still in use! I remember them removing it from our school.
Thank you for sharing. My dad had this disease.
