For some unknown reason this time around I have been getting phone calls to the tune of 9 or 10 a day--to the point that I actually took my phone off the hook yesterday and might end up doing the same today and tomorrow--This didn't happen as much in the last few elections. I have a feeling that ALL of the candidates (and I am getting calls from all political parties) are scared-they know we the people are tired of their shenanigans. They all went too far this time around!
This is definitely not a political views post--but a post pleading with all of you to go out and vote TODAY, November 5th for whom ever you want to--just VOTE. Take the time out of your busy day. Those who are working-go before work or go after work. We are all complaining about various issues which affect us personally all the time. The only way we can effect any change is by our vote-be it a local, state or federal election. And always look for those ballot questions that seem to pop up even though we were never told that they would be there. Read them carefully-they just might be affecting you personally.
IT IS NOVEMBER 5TH--NOW GO OUT THERE AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!!

I always vote, not that it did much good but I will be voting again.
Thank you for sharing! Not enough people vote and I will have to go vote tomorrow! Hopefully you get some others out to vote as well!
I hope record numbers show up to vote. We need to send a message to our politicians that we the people are fed up!
I have always voted & at the polling place, too! It keeps me accountable if I have to go somewhere rather than do mailing.
Great reminder to all of us, and I'm so surprised that I haven't received a single political call since the presidential election!
I vote, but not sure if I am again.
We aren't voting for anything here in Massachusetts today, but when we do have elections, I always vote :) Thanks for the reminder.
I hate phone calls like that we no longer have a land line for this reason but over here we always get the candidates knocking on your door to have a chat or putting leaflets in the mail.
We don't have any elections here but whenever we do have I always make it my business to vote.
Great post. Do you ever try to get put on the do not call list? I ask for the caller's name and number then tell them to place me on the do not call list. I know that's not the point of your post but you shouldn't have to "take your phone off the hook". Good luck voting.
Thank you for this reminder! My parents always pushed me to vote when I was younger.. nice post.
It always bugs me when people complain about the leaders they have, I asked them "did you vote" and they say no! I'm like What the HECK! You have no right to complain then!
But seriously, such an important day! Definitely get out and vote.
Too bad, I'm not a citizen so I could not vote yet! But, this is a nice information.
I never miss a chance to vote, and this is a good reminder of just how important it is to do it.
I always make sure I vote - my reason is I can't moan if I don't not a great reason but hey at least I try :) x
It is always important to go vote and let our wishes be known. I get calls like that too--so many in a day! And I am on the DNC list.
I used to vote at every election, then they started doing the Florida recounts and finding boxes of ballots that were forgotten, I need to get back into it but can not get past the fact that it seemed to be such a joke for a while.
It's very important to vote and have your say! Great blog post - spreading awareness is important too
I'm a firm believer that if you dont vote you have no right to an opinion on what happens if you dont agree because you could have done something different
Voted! I actually got a ride from someone today so I could go and vote.
I truly wish that voting actually counted and mattered still
Every vote counts!
I havent voted yet since i just turned 18, but i agree that everyone should shout their voice on who they want to lead them
Voting is so important, it's great of you to remind everyone!
There are not elections here either but I hate getting all the phone calls. Even on the do not call list we are still solicited.
i'm living abroad and don't have a "home" right now back in the US but wish I could have voted in Washington... :(
I voted yesterday. I think it is very important to have your voice heard and voting gives us a chance to do that.
My Dad always made sure I voted. If you don't vote, you can't complain!!
