Melissa Foster really out did herself in this poignant book about the unraveling of a family because of past occurrences. Junie Olson had a best friend when she was a young girl-that friend disappeared and Junie remembers nothing. She ultimately marries her friend's brother and they have a little girl who is perfectly normal in every way. Life is good. THEN-out of seemingly nowhere her little girl starts to regress and no longer speaks. Junie's father dies. Junie herself is beginning to remember or wanting to know what happened to her friend-her husband is not being all that cooperative or understanding. They do separate for a while and Junie and her daughter move in with Junie's Mom which happens to be very near where her husbands father still lives.
It is not until the pictures the little girl draws are finally recognized that the truth will be revealed--it will shock and sadden you. There is a somewhat happy ending--and possibly a continuance of this book. I definitely recommend this book to everyone and give it without reservation a 5 Star.
NEW RELEASE........
On the surface Junie Olson’s life looks idyllic, from her handsome husband and beautiful daughter to her successful business, the bakery she'd always dreamed of opening. But in the past few months her world has slowly unraveled. Her precocious child is withdrawing, showing unexplainable signs of emotional regression, a condition that frays the bonds of Junie’s once impenetrable marriage. When her father dies suddenly of a heart attack, Junie packs up her daughter and goes home to help her mother. Her homecoming stirs up memories of the nightmare she thought she had put behind her, the disappearance of her childhood friend, Ellen. Haunted by recurring memories of what happened on that fateful day, Junie must gather the courage to revisit her past and untangle the secrets surrounding her missing friend, and the trauma that has caused her little girl to climb back into herself. As the pieces come together on the event that shook her small town, and at the risk of losing everyone she loves, Junie will question everything she thought she could rely on and everyone she thought she knew.
WHERE PETALS FALL is a gripping and emotional novel with an undercurrent of suspense, featuring a determined mother whose world slowly comes apart around her. Readers will root for Junie as they follow her transition into an indomitable heroine who must reconcile what she discovers about her husband and family’s tragic past, and find a way to put the pieces of her family back together and carry on.

This sounds like a great book! I wish I had more time to read, I keep seeing these awesome reviews but I also love that she works to help other new writers navigate the field!
Sounds like my kind of book, suspense and family drama.
Mysteries are my favorite kinds of book, but I have to say that I love a god suspense novel, so I would definitely read this one!!
There are days when reading an emotional novel is just what I need, then there are days I want suspense. This has them both.
I want to read this to find out what happened to the little girl adn of course what the pictures are. Great review.
Sounds like such a beautiful story yet filled with suspense and I absolutely love this book cover !!
The book cover is so eye catching I've seen it pop up on my facebook feed a couple of times already so its really nice to read a little more about it - it sounds like a really good book one I could definitely see myself reading and enjoying. x
Sounds like a great book to read over fall break. I do love books filled with suspense. I think I will have to check out Where Petals Fall.
This sounds like such an emotional book. A great read that I will need to have tissue close at hand!
You always have such great books to share!
I think this book would pull in many mothers! It sounds really emotional! I am glad to hear there is a happy ending!
I am definitely picking this one up. The suspense angle is grabbing me.

I personally like adult romance type books, but this book sounds like it would rip my heart out! I will have to read this one!
I think this book touches on some important themes. Many families are torn apart by events that happened in the past that have not been resolved and just fester over time.
I like that this story has a happy ending. It sounds very suspenseful too.
I'm rooting for Junie and I haven't even picked up the book yet. :)
Great review! This sounds like a great read and something that could possibly be made into a movie. I like these type of story lines even if they are unpleasant.
Sounds like a really good read i just wish i had more time,i have so many unread books just sitting on the bookcase lol.
Sounds like another great book! I love books like these and I'm happy that its in eformat. It's really the only way I usually buy books.
Where the Petals Fall sounds like a book that I would read more then once! What a great book!
I am dying to find out what happened to the little girl. I typically do not read suspense books like this but this has me wanting to read it.
This sounds like a really good book worth reading. I might have a hard time keeping up with everything from the way you described it, but definitely one worth giving a try.
Stories about living with our past decisions always tug at my heart strings. And if an author can make them complex and still keep your interest, they must be good.
What a wonderful book; thanks for a great review. I will add this to my reader list, no when it's dark early I read a lot more and I always run out of good books
Wow, this actually seem like a wonderful book - full of curiosity and emotions - worth to read. Wow.
