Admittedly when I first heard, then saw the title of this book I thought it was going to be something very different from what it actually is. When I hear the word Hitchhiker I immediately think of someone with their thumb in the air trying to catch a ride--I couldn't have been more wrong. Ainsley Benton's blood can hitchhike in another persons body allowing her to know exactly what is going on in that persons head, feel all they are feeling for a short period of time. As you can well imagine she tries to hide this but the FBI figures out her secret and convinces her to join a group comprised of really weird characters with some even weirder abilities. This is a roller coaster type ride which will take you from shaking your head to praying that this isn't at all true! I can't say too much more or I will give away the whole book--Did I enjoy this book? Yes, I most certainly did and think you will as well.

Supernatural abilities haunt her. Brainiac students taunt her. The FBI “Freak Squad” wants her. Will she abandon her extra sensory talents in favor of freedom, or will she hone them to help catch crooks?
Former army brat, Ainsley Benton, may have finally found her place in this world, and it’s among the freaks. This small town art teacher has the ability to see, hear, and feel what other people are experiencing, and now the FBI’s freak squad wants to use her “human bug” abilities to catch bad guys. Despite her fear of commitment, failure, and responsibility, Ainsley temporarily agrees to join this team of misfits, and ends up risking her life to investigate a conspiracy that may only be one of her schizophrenic coworker’s paranoid delusions.

About the Author:
Audra's love of writing began in the third grade, when she was chosen to go to a young author’s conference based on her story, "The Dragon Cookie,” which is about a giant cookie that comes to life. She continued writing, and was sometimes asked to write stories for friends as birthday gifts.
Audra went to college thinking she would go into journalism, but opted to go into publishing instead, and even took an internship at Yale University Press. She married right after college and was unable to find a publishing job where they were living in Seattle. Audra took an office job. After helping put her husband through law school, she went back to school and got her teaching degree. Audra enjoyed teaching, but once her oldest was born, she chose to stay home. At the encouragement of friends she started writing again, the result being her first novel, Watcher, which was released in January of 2013.
Audra and her husband now live in a small town in Eastern Washington with their three boys. They also have a black Lab named Benji who eats shoes, gophers and packages left on her front porch (thanks Fed-Ex). She recently went back to work as a Kindergarten teacher, but she still writes, dabbles in on-line shopping and plays Texas Hold ‘Em with her friends as often she can.

That sounds like an interesting take on the term hitchhiker! Yet it also sounds quite scary, eep!
Ooooh, very sci-fi. I like books like this, so I will have to pick up a copy of this.
I am not sure on this one, it might just be outside of what I would read. My oldest son would probably like it though - would have to have dad screen it first to make sure it is appropriate.
Oh Jeeze, If a hitchiker got into my body, they sure wouldn't stay long when they heard what I was thinking.
It sounds great because it's not like anything else I've read. Thanks for sharing!
This book sounds like so much fun! I first thought of Hitchhikers guide to the universe, but this book is completely different! And I love the plot!
OK this book sounds like it is right up my alley!! I have to get a copy!

This sounds like a book I would have to top into with an extreme open mind. I liked xmen before.. maybe i'd enjoy this book?
Thanks so much for reading, Miki! It's definitely a wild ride with these characters!
This does sound like a very interesting book. I am always interested in tales of people who have special abilities such as the character in this book.
Well that is definitely a different take on the word hitchhiker for sure!
ooo, I love this kind of book. Sci fi stuff is very interesting to me. This book reminds me a bit of Agents of Shield, I would definitely read this book.
I love that the main character has supernatural abilities. This sort of intrigues me and definitely makes me want to read more...
When I saw hitchhiker I thought of the movie with that serial killer. This sounds a lot better. Sounds like a good read as well.
The Hitchhiker sounds like a great book I bet my mom would love to read this one!
Sounds interesting! Whenever I hear hitchhiker stories I think about serial killers or guide to the galaxy. Anywho, the book sounds good. I'm adding to my ever growing pile.
Whoa, this sounds like a really interesting book! I will add this to my To Read list! Thanks!
ooh - interesting take and sounds like an interesting way to bring up the sci-fi and still be "believable"
