Pump Up Your Book Presents Luthecker Virtual Book Publicity Tour

Definitely a page turner! It is not easy to be one of the few humans who can see a pattern in anything and know what the future will hold-or not hold. As a result Alex Luthecker is a loner by choice. He does have a couple of acquaintances who he "trains" with and ultimately, because of his special abilities, will become entangled in an international debacle. Enter Phoebe-who has developed software which can predict trends in oil production. This is a thriller you do not want to miss--and on a separate note--I truly hope this is ALL fiction and stays that way!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

ALEX LUTHECKER lives off of the grid. He prefers the comfort of the night. He avoids the crowded and chaotic daylight hours, because the relentless anxieties of the multitudes overwhelm him. This is because Alex has a rare gift. He is a pattern reader. Patterns in nature, patterns in social groups, patterns in individual behavior, he can recognize them all. With one conversation, he knows all of your secrets. He can tell you exactly who you are. He can tell you exactly how your life is going to end. For Alex, it’s not magic. It’s math. NICOLE ELLIS works in the energy business. She trades futures in the lifeblood of civilization: crude oil. With the help of her patented pattern recognition software, PHOEBE, she has the uncanny ability to predict trends in oil production and consumption. And at the tender age of twenty-five, she is recognized as one of the best in the business, with the bank account to show for it. For Nicole, who grew up with nothing, the world is hers. RICHARD BROWN was a highly respected intelligence officer during both Gulf Wars. He oversaw rendition squads, making sure that his interrogators didn’t cross the line into torture, and if they did, that no one would ever be the wiser. The only thing that mattered to the government was that Brown always got his man. His track record of success allowed his move into the private sector, eventually heading the corporate entity known as Coalition Properties, the largest military contractor in U.S. history. For Brown, the commodity he trades and sells is power. A terrorist attack on a Saudi oil refinery sets the paths of all three on a collision course, an encounter that threatens to upset the balance of power in the world. Alex must learn to forge relationships and become a leader in order to save the lives of not only himself and Nicole, but also those of his loose band of allies, as he becomes one of the most sought after fugitives in history.

A note from the author: Hi, it's Keith Domingue, author of Luthecker, and I just wanted to express my gratitude for your kind review. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
I thought I'd address your final comment, in the hopes that all was fiction and that it stay that way. Certainly the main character, Alex Luthecker, and his abilities are fictional (as are all of the characters.) However I did do extensive research in order to create the more villainous aspects of the world structure, including the organization behind it all. Not that these entities exist, but the motivators, (and therefore the predictable patterns behind) them do-- Greed, lust for power, and so on. Everything else is infrastructure. But the counter-motivators are there as well-- Love, compassion, and so on. In the second book of the series, (which I am currently working on), the "counter-motivators" become more developed, as Alex begins the quest to discover the source of his abilities-- Which in turn only heightens the stakes with his enemies. It's interesting that some of the comments flatter with comparisons to television shows (and thank you)-- Luthecker is currently being developed as a tv series, and the tag line is "Kung Fu meets Numbers."
So thanks again for the kind review. And for all of the followers of Miki's hope who decide to read my book, you have my eternal gratitude, and I truly hope that you enjoy the journey.

All the best,
Keith Domingue

I judged the cover, sorry. Looked like it would be a boring book but once I read the synopsis I had to put my foot in my mouth. It truly sounds like a very good book!! I am intrigued now :)

I think this sounds like a movie. It's very much like the movies I like to watch. A thriller for sure. I am a conspiracy believer, so I always tend to think all these things are possible and probably actually happening!

It would be scary to meet someone who could actually tell you how your life will end but this does sound like a great book or movie I'd like to watch. Very intriguing!
