Congratulations Shelby! All you have to do now is reply to the email I will be sending you in just a few minutes within 48 hours with your full name and mailing address and I will forward it on to the publisher who will be sending you your book direct to you.
This book explains in depth just why it is important to seek advice from others. It also explains how to pick the correct advisor(s) for the question you have at the moment. According to the author advice from another actual human being(s) face to face is needed for small individual question(s) that a person might have. He gives for an example the choosing of a career path and which college you should attend. This is a thought provoking and informative book!! I particularly enjoyed the chapter What Proverbs Say.
From the back of the book:
Advice Is For Winners explains how to be more proactive and more skilled in seeking advice from others for better decision making in life and at work.
The book describes the many benefits of advice and why people often fail to seek it. Dr. Valdes-Perez offers a comprehensive view of advice as a creative and fulfilling intellectual, emotional and social process. After reviewing insights from the self-improvement and the scholarly literature as well as folk wisdom, he lays out principles and steps for doing it right—as a lifelong habit. The author draws on his experiences as an observer, traveler, father, academic research scientist, board member and software internet entrepreneur.
This book can be purchased at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other fine bookstores. Ganador Press ISBN 9780615709208
